1. Two weeks ago Father Stefan had to urgently travel to Slovakia to be with his ailing father. Please keep Father Stefan, his father and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
2. Father Stefan was notified by the New York Archdiocese that as of July 1
st he is being transferred to another parish. This is the next step in his process of incardination. I am very sad that he has to leave and I now that it is very difficult for you, the parishioners of St. John Nepomucene / St. Francis X. Cabrini to see him go but after the completion of the incardination process he will be a priest of the New York Archdiocese. He is being transferred to a great parish of St. Charles Borromeo Church. It is a wonderful, vibrant parish on Staten Island and I hold the pastor of the St. Charles, Rev. Louis R. Jerome in high regard. The church address is St. Charles Borromeo Church, 644 Clawson Street, Staten Island, NY 10306; webpage:

3. In September, after the vacation season is over, we will celebrate Father Stefan’s thirteen years of service to our parish and his dedication and love for the Slovak community. More details about the celebration plans to come in near future.
4. Thank you for keeping me in your prayers and thoughts during my studies in Pittsburgh. I am also thinking of you and praying for you.
