BAKER'S BITS

Thank you to all the families on Roosevelt island and in the parish who have provided housing for the 27 choristers of the Bratislava Boys Choir! This was a lot of work! But, how blessedwe are to have them here and be inspired by their beautiful singing!

Please make note of the Holy Week Schedule of Masses and events listed in the bulletin. In addition to the Holy mass, we are also having the ‘Blessing of Food’ (blessing of baskets) on Holy Saturday and after the Easter Sunday masses. Bishop Halko of Bratislava will be with us for Holy Week, and Cardinal Dolan of new York wil be with us for Blessing of Baskets / Blessing of Food on Holy Saturday at 11am.

On Tuesday, March 20 at 7:00pm, we will be having an ecumenical prayer service at St. Frances X. Cabrini on Roosevelt Island with Rev. Ramirez and the congregation of the Church of the Good Shepherd.

Ďakujem všetkým rodinám najmä na Roosevelt Island, ale aj vo zvyšku farnosti za zabezpečenie ubytovania pre 27 členov Bratislavského chlapčenského zboru! Bola to veľká výzva! Sme veľmi požehnaní, že nás tento víkend navštívili a inšpirovali svojim nádherným spevom!

Prosím, všimnite si rozpis svätých omší a pripravonaných udalostí vo Veľkom týždni, ktoré máte uvedené v bulletine. Veľký týždeň s nami strávi bratislavský pomocný biskup Jozef Haľko. Po svätých omšiach na Veľkonočnú sobotu a nedeľu bude v kostole posvätenie veľkonočných jedál. V sobotu nás pri ňom navštívi New Yorský kardinál Dolan.

V utorok 20.marca o 7pm bude v Kostole sv. Františky X. Cabrini na Roosevelt Island ekumenická modlitba s Reverendom Ramirezom a kongregáciou z Kostola Dobrého Pastiera.
