1. As we celebrate Independence Day, let us ask God to bless, preserve, and sustain our nation where ‘Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness’ is had by all.

2. Today we unite our prayer with the people of Slovakia as they honor the Apostles to the Slavs, Saints Cyril and methodius. May God bless the Slovak nation. By His grace, may our Holy Catholic faith remain strong in the hearts of the Slovak people.

3. Please remember to follow all the safety guidelines that have been outlined by the state as well as the signage posted in our churches. The City of New York will be visiting churches to ensure that we remain compliant with all safety requirements. Wearing a mask and adhering to ‘so- cial distancing’ while in the church ensure mutual respect and safety for all.

1. Teraz, keď oslavujeme Deň nezávislosti, prosme Boha, aby požehnal a zachoval náš národ, aby všetci mohli žiť podľa motta „Život, sloboda a hľadanie šťastia“.

2. Dnes sa modlíme spolu so Slovákmi žijúcimi na Slovensku, kde dnes slávia sviatok apoštolov Slovanov, svätého Cyrila a Metoda. Nech Boh žehná slovenskému národu. Nech cez jeho milosť ostane naša svätá katolícka viera silná v srdciach slovenského ľudu.

3. Nezabudnite dodržiavať všetky bezpečnostné nariadenia, ktoré boli určené štátom, ako aj všetky pokyny, ktoré sú vyvesené v našich kostoloch. Zástupcovia mesta New York budú robiť kontroly kostolov, aby sa uistili o dodržiavaní všetkých bezpečnostných nariadení. Nosenie masky a dodržiavanie „spoločenského odstupu“ počas vášho pobytu v kostole zaisťujú vzájomný rešpekt a bezpečnosť pre všetkých.
