BAKER'S BITS - July 19, 2020 - East River Catholics

1. For the sake of all those around you, and especially for your priests and church staff, please wear a mask in church for everyone’s safety. Recently, a pastor and a parish man- ager of another church of the Archdiocese were diagnosed with Covid-19, and that church had to close for a couple weeks. The City of New York will be visiting churches to ensure that we remain compliant with all safety require- ments. Wearing a mask and adhering to ‘social distancing’ while in the church ensure mutual respect and safety for all.

2. Farewell to Erv Jezek and Mila Henn who are relocating out of state. Erv served on the finance committee of the parish. He also served in many other volunteer capacities as lector, usher, and sacristan, especially at the 6pm Mass. Many prayers for their new chapter and home! They were a great blessing to the parish.

1. Pre dobro všetkých okolo vás a najmä kvôli kňazom a farskému personálu, prosím noste masky počas vášho pobytu v kostole, je to pre ochranu a bezpečnosť všetkých. Pred nedávnom bola potvrdená nákaza s Covid-19 u farára a správcu fary jedného arcidiecézneho kostola a tento kostol museli zatvoriť na niekoľko týždňov. Zástupcovia mesta New York budú robiť kontroly kostolov, aby sa uistili o dodržiavaní všetkých bezpečnostných nariadení. Nosenie masky a dodržiavanie „spoločenského odstupu“ počas vášho pobytu v kostole zaisťujú vzájomný rešpekt a bezpečnosť pre všetkých.

2. Lúčime sa s Ervom Jezekom a Milou Henn, ktorí sa sťahujú mimo štátu. Erv bol členom farskej Finančnej rady. Pôsobil aj v iných dobrovoľníckych funkciách ako lektor, uvádzač a sakristián, hlavne počas omše o 6pm. Modlíme sa za nich a prajeme im všetko najlepšie v ich živote v novom domove! Obaja boli veľkým požehnaním pre našu farnosť.

3. Kardinálova zbierka - Ďakujem 38 jednotlivcom, ktorí už prispeli do tejto zbierky! Ak môžete prísľúbiť alebo darovať milodar, vašu účasť veľmi oceňujem. https://cardinalsappeal.org
