1. Recently, there have been many changes or important events in the parish such as Mass time changes, a visit by the Cardinal, or lightly at- tended Saturday morning live streamed liturgies. We are so blessed to have so many things happening in different corners of the parish. Please take the time to read the bulletin, sign-up for the E-newsletter, check out our website, notice signage or engage in social media. The information is out there – let’s demonstrate that we are an engaged and proud community!

2. Confession – This sacrament is vital to our relationship with God. If the scheduled times do not work for you, Email me or one of the priests to request a time to meet at the confessional. It’s not an inconvenience – it’s our job!

3. On Saturday, February 3, we will be hosting the 2018 Mardi Gras Ball for the Young Adults of the Archdiocese of NY beginning at 7pm. Tickets are $50 and include dinner, three drink tickets and dancing! Online sales: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/mardi-gras-2018-tickets-41618097851.

4. The Bratislava Boys Choir will be in residence in the parish in early March. As part of their 4-day visit, they will be rehearsing at St. Frances on Roosevelt Island, singing in the live-streamed Slovak liturgies, and offering one or two concerts in our parish homes. The only way that this is possible is to have all 25 students in homestays to make this very expensive trip possible. Ideally, homestays on Roosevelt Island are what we’re aiming for. 1. V poslednej dobe sa v našej farnosti udialo niekoľko dôležitých zmien a udalostí, zmeny v čase sv. omší, návšteva kardinála a aj živé vysielania sv. omší, ktorých sa zatiaľ zúčastňuje iba menší počet ľudí. Je pre nás požehnaním, že sa toľko vecí deje v rôznych častiach našej farnosti. Nájdite si čas na prečítanie bulletinu, zaregistrujte sa na e-Newsletter, pozrite si našu webstránku, všimnite si upozornenia s oznamy a zapojte sa do sociálnych médií. Informácie sú k dispozícii - ukážme, že sme zaangažovaná a hrdá komunita!

2. Spoveď - Táto sviatosť je životne dôležitá pre náš vzťah s Bohom. Ak vám naplánované časy nevyhovujú, pošlite mne alebo jednému z kňazov e-mail a dohovorte si iný ter- mín na spoveď v kostole v spovednici. Toto nie je ob- ťažovanie - je to naša práca!

3. V sobotu 3. februára o 7:00 pm budeme hostiť 2018 Mardi Gras Bál pre mladých dospelých New Yorskej ar- cidiecézy. Vstupenky sú $50, vo vstupnom je večera, tri lístky na nápoje z baru a tanec! Online predaj: https:// www.eventbrite.com/e/mardi-gras-2018-tickets- 41618097851.

4. Našu farnosť navštívi začiatkom marca Bratislavský chlapčenský zbor. Počas svojej 4-dňovej návštevy budú mať skúšky v kostole Sv. Františky na Roosevelt Island; budú spievať počas naživo vysielaných slovenských liturgií a raz alebo dva razy vystúpia aj koncertne v našich farských priestoroch. Jediný spôsob, ako môžeme umožniť, aby sa tento finančne veľmi náročný zájazd dal uskutočniť je, aby všetci 25 študenti boli ubytovaní u farníkov v súkromí. Ideálne riešenie je nájsť ubytovanie v rodinách na Roosevelt Island, o čo sa snažíme.
