1. Thank you all who helped make our annual Jednota Pilgrimage a success! Especially thank you to Fr. Martin for his spiritual leadership, to Maria for leading all in song, to Jan and all his assistants who prepared and served great lunch and to Lisa for coordinating the bus transportation!

2. Reminder - New Mass schedule at St. John's beginning the weekend of September 9th.

3. "Food Like none other" The Most Blessed Sacrament St. Justin the Martyr   "And this food is called among us Εὐχαριστία [the Eucha- rist] ... For not as common bread and common drink do we receive these; but in like manner as Jesus Christ our Saviour, having been made flesh by the Word of God, had both flesh and blood for our salvation, so likewise have we been taught that the food which is blessed by the prayer of His word, and from which our blood and flesh by transmutation are nourished, is the flesh and blood of that Jesus who was made flesh."

1. Ďakujem všetkým tým, ktorí pomohli, že tohoročná púť Jednoty bola znova úspešná. Najmä sa chcem poďakovať o. Martinovi za duchovné vedenie, Márii za vedenie spevu, Jánovi a jeho pomocníkom za výborný obed a Lise za zorganizovanie cesty autobusom!

2. Nezabudnite - rozvrh svätých omší v kostole sv. Jána sa mení od soboty 9. septembra.

3. "Pokrm ako žiaden iný" Najsvätejšia Sviatosť Oltárna, sv. Justin, mučeník
„A tento pokrm nazývame Εὐχαριστία (Eucharistia) ... Lebo neprijímame tento pokrm, ako obyčajný chlieb a nápoj. Ale tak, ako sa Slovom Božím Ježiš Kristus náš Spasiteľ vtelil, prijal telo a krv pre našu spásu, tak pokrm posvätený Slovom jeho modlitby a určený k tomu, aby živil naše telo a našu krv, aby nás pretvoril, tento pokrm je, my to vieme, telom a krvou Vteleného Ježiša. "
