BAKER’S BITS
1. 2. Congratulations to the children from our Slovak school who performed at the Third Annual Slovak Folklore Show last Sunday.
3. Last Sunday five children received First Holy Communion in the Good Shepherd Chapel on Roosevelt Island.  For pictures go to our website Eastrivercatholics.org or see us on FaceBook.
 
4. Welcome back to Brendan who is still recovering from a minor surgery. Thank you to Adrian who in Brendan’s absence helped in Sacristy on Roosevelt Island.
5 Thank you to Isa, Jess and Peg who prepared our children for their First Holy Communion and  are also  involved in religious education on Roosevelt Island.
6. And thank you to all of you for your patience and understanding as we try to figure out how to merge together three parishes and how to grow together spiritually, mentally and physically. We are also managing seven properties and building a new church on Roosevelt Island. Over the years some of our properties fell into disrepair and needed repairs and upgrade. We are fixing as much as we can without interfering with our parish spiritual and cultural life. I am trying to keep you abreast of what is going on in my Baker’s Bits.
