1. Thank you to all of you who attended our United Parish Picnic on September 25 ^th on at Manhattan Park on Roosevelt Island. It was a wonderful event that brought us closer together as one parish family. The weather was fantastic and the food was superb!  I am already looking forward to the next year’s picnic; hopefully even more parishioners will be able to attend.

2. Thank you to the Parish Picnic Planning Committee - Lisa Calabrese, Gunther Gross, Regina Robinson, Kimberly Ellis, Judith Quintana and Brendan Monaghan. Also thank you to all the volunteers who cooked, helped with setting up, serving the food and cleaning up, I don’t want to list names because so many of you helped  and I wouldn’t want to miss anyone. Thank you also to the dancers from the Irish dance group.

3. Beginning on October 9 ^th we will be adding an addition Mass to the Roosevelt Island Cabrini Chapel Mass schedule. We will now have an 8:15 and 11:15am Mass in Cabrini Chapel as well as the 11:15am Mass in Good Shepherd Chapel. 

4. Welcome Father Martin Kertys, C.O.!  Fr. Martin is a Slovak priest, who joins us from the Oratory of St. Philip Neri in Tappan. He will be moving to our Rectory in October. Also welcome to Father Antonio Ferrere who is also moving into the Rectory this Sunday and serving our Parish. Please give both Fr. Martin and Fr. Antonio a warm welcome.
