BAKER'S BITS - November 1, 2020 - East River Catholics

1. I cannot stress this enough. We must not become complacent in safely during the pandemic. We all want to return to normal. But, it is extremely important to wear your mask properly while inside the church and continue to practice social distancing. Show your fellow parishioners that you respect them by wearing a mask properly and social distancing. Let’s keep St. John and St. Frances a welcoming place for all.

2. Congratulations to Jesse Thompson who received the sacra- ments of Holy Communion and Confirmation at the noon Mass this weekend at St. John. God grant him many blessed years! 3. Thank you for your continued prayers and financial support of the parish. If you have not made your offerings ‘electronically,’ I encourage you to consider using Faith Direct. And, thank you to all who have mailed their offerings to the parishoffice during the pandemic.

4. Please submit any names of the deceased (All Souls – November 2) on the slips or envelopes by the entrance of each of the churches. You may also e-mail me at pastor@eastrivercatholics.org. All loved ones will be remembered at all Masses in November.

5. We are making every effort to repair the elevator at St. Frances. It has been complicated process working with the elevator company and the Archdiocese. We should have an update very soon. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for understanding.

6. Congratulations to Michael Friedman and Megan Cain for whom I had the privilege of witnessing their marriage in Philadelphia last weekend. God grant them many blessed and happy years!

1. Nemôžem to dostatočne zdôrazniť, počas pandémie sa nesmiem stať ľahostajnými voči zachovávaniu bezpečnostných nariadení. Všetci sa chceme vrátiť do normálu. Je však veľmi dôležité, aby ste masku nosili správne a naďalej dodržiavali spoločenský dištanc počas vášho pobytu v kostole. Správnym nasadením masky a dodržiavaním sociálneho odstupu ukážete svojim spolufarníkom, že si ich vážite. Nech Kostoly sv. Jána a sv. Františky naďalej vítajú všetkých veriacich.

2. Gratulujem Jesse Thompsonovi, ktorý tento víkend počas sv. omše o 12:00 prijal sviatosti prvého svätého prijímania a birmovky v Kostole sv. Jána. Nech mu Pán Boh dopraje veľa požehnaných rokov.

3. Ďakujem za vaše stále modlitby a finančnú podporu farnosti. Ak svoje milodary neposielate „elektronicky“, odporúčam vám pouvažovať nad použitím aplikácie Faith Direct. Ďakujem všetkým, ktorí počas tejto pandémie poslali svoje milodary na farský úrad.

4. Nezabudnite nám odovzdať mená vašich zosnulých (Dušičky - Spomienka na všetkých verných zosnulých 2. november). Mená nám môžete odovzdať na lístkoch alebo obálkach, ktoré nájdete pri vchode do kostola, alebo mi môžete poslať e-mail na adresu pastor@eastrivercatholics.org. Všetky sväté omše v novembri budú odslúžené za všetkých zosnulých.

5. Vyvíjame maximálne úsilie, aby sme zapezpečili opravu výťahu v Kostole sv. Františky. Spolupráca s výťahovou firmou a arcidiecézou bola veľmi komplikovaná. Onedlho by sme mali dostať nové aktualizné informácie. Ospravedlňujeme sa za tieto nepríjemnosti a ďakujeme za pochopenie.

6. Gratulujem Michaelovi Friedmanovi a Megan Cainovej, minulý víkend vo Philadelphii som mal tú česť byť svedkom pri ich vstupe do manželstva. Nech im Pán Boh dopraje veľa požehnaných a šťastných rokov!
